DuctWork
Often ignored, the standard of duckwork used in an air conditioning system
can make a real difference to the operation, economy and life-expectancy
of any system. R&R use only Ductair ductwork.
Features/Benefits:
- All metal fittings for improved reliability
- Superior Ultra Flexible duct with glasswool insulation reduces losses
by nearly 50% compared to polyester insulation.
System Design
The design of an air conditioning system is critical. We need to take
into account factors such as the size and orientation of the rooms, the
type of construction, and most importantly the lifestyle of the occupants.
Most systems installed in SA use multi-zoning. Different rooms can be
heated or cooled as required, when unoccupied areas can be turned off
to minimize operating costs. This also gives a significant saving in capital
cost.
Inverter Systems
The latest technological advancement in air conditioning technology is
the Panasonic inverter driven scroll compressors. This means that instead
of running at a constant output, and then turning off when the desired
temperature is reached, the motor turns itself down in the same way as
you back your foot off the accelerator in your car.
The benefits to the user include:
- 10-15% improvement in efficiency gives a similar reduction in energy
consumption
- Improved comfort control as the unit can turn itself down to maintain
temperatures
- Lower operating noise
- Non-ozone depleting refrigerants
