Evaporative Cooling

Evaporative cooling offers the best choice for many South Australian families. R&R Air Conditioning supply and install Breezeair evaporative cooling systems.

Not only are these systems cheaper to install, they are significantly more economical to run. Evaporative air conditioning requires doors and windows to be open because it is bringing in fresh air continuously. Most systems are designed to change the entire volume of air in your home every 2 minutes. This is well suited to our outdoor lifestyle, and is particularly good for young families with kids running in and out all the time.

Water Management
Because the cooling effect is from the evaporation process, salt content in the water eventually builds up to an undesirable level.

For many years, the solution to this was to bleed off a percentage of the water to waste. Around 10 years ago, Breezeair pioneered the first water management systems.

This has been refined and improved significantly over this time:
A unique sensor probe monitors water quality, and when the salt content reaches an unacceptable level, the unit drains the tank and refills with fresh water. In addition, when the unit is turned off, the water is held in the tank for 3 days. If it is not required before then, the tank drains and stays dry until it is needed. This minimizes water consumption while maintaining a clean tank.

What sort of system?
Evaporative cooling systems are available with either axial or centrifugal fans. Generally speaking, centrifugal fans are more expensive, but offer superior performance and lower noise level. R&R offer the premium Breezeair with it’s centrifugal fan as well as the Coolair axial fan models.

R&R Airconditioning can air condition a typical house for $2,700-$3,800 depending on the model chosen.
